The Class of 1987 has been working hard to show their support and give back to The Bands of Dillon and The Marching Cats, in particular. Several members of this class are either former band parents and or former band members. It has been great to connect and reconnect with them.
Several weeks ago, a few members of this outstanding class reached out to let us know they would be organizing an effort to support our band students. We had no idea what would happen next.
What followed would be several donations of bottled water totaling 60 cases. There is also a pallet of water that will be delivered to us upon request. And as if that wasn’t enough. On this week, The Class of 1987 made a monetary donation in excess of $500 to help students having difficulties paying their band fees. This donation was presented to Mr. Wright, Director of Bands, on this past Thursday.
The Class of 1987 has set a high standard for others to follow. We greatly appreciate their efforts and generosity. The sense of pride, the support of our youth, and the level of school spirit is very strong in Dillon, as demonstrated by these loving people. Class of 1987, WE SALUTE YOU!
