On Saturday, September 28, 2019, the Marching Cats participated in the Pre-Dawn Band Competition. This event was hosted by Pine Forest High School of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The event featured 10 outstanding high school bands in competition. The Pine Forest Band also performed in exhibition to conclude the event.

The Marching Cats earned the following awards. 3rd place Drum Major, 3rd place Percussion, 2nd place General Effect, 2nd place Marching, 1st place Music, and 2nd place is Class AAA. We are proud of our Marching Cats and wish them continued success.

The Marching Cats will host the 15th annual Dillon Battle of The Bands on October 5th. Following that they will participate in the South Carolina Band Director Association’s Lower State Marching Band Championship. This contest will be hosted at White Knoll High School in Lexington, South Carolina on October 19th. The Marching Cats will conclude their competition season on November 2nd in Darlington, South Carolina at the 4th Annual Keith Dabreu Memorial Band Competition hosted by the Darlington High School Band Program.
